Behind The Scenes – Students Excursion

In the early morning our ATPL and CPL candidates headed to Vienna Airport to have a backstage glance of Aircraft operation, ATC and Maintenance.

First Stage: Austro Control GmbH – Tower VIE
A good Pilot in general should have a good knowledge about ATC procedures, but it is also essential get an impression of the “background” procedures from controllers on the other side of the radio!

After a small lunch we had the chance to visit the Headquarter of Austrian Airlines and the Maintenance.

Slightly exhausted and packed with so many new impressions we finally headed to the Lufthansa Flight Training area on the Airport:

Yesterday Sigrid successfully made her Enroute IFR transition check flight to convert her FAA-IFR licence into a EU-IFR.
