Class Ratings

In General Aviation the different types of aircraft are divided into different classes, in which the pilot has to be trained and licensed to fly an aircraft within this class.

Following 3 classes are used in General Aviation:

TMG

Grob 109B
Requirements: PPL(A)-SEP, Medical Class 2, radio tel. licence
Training: at least 3h flight training
Duration: approx. 2 weeks
Exams: practical and theoretical

SEP

Mooney M20K
Requirements: PPL(A)-TMG, Medical Class 2, radio tel. licence
Training: at least 3h flight training
Duration: approx. 2 weeks
Exams: practical and theoretical

MEP

Diamond TwinStar
Requirements: PPL(A), Medical Class 2, radio tel. licence, 70h PIC
Training: at least 3,5h flight training, 2,5h FPT-II Simulator
Duration: approx. 2 weeks
Exams: practical and theoretical
